2.5.2 Safe to install
At the start of the game, players take turns rolling the die to determine who goes first, with the highest roll gaining the initial advantage. Subsequently, players proceed to take their turns in a clockwise fashion.
In order to bring a token into play from its designated staging area to the starting point, a player must achieve a roll of 6. Failure to do so when no tokens are in play results in passing the turn to the next player. Once in play, players move their tokens forward based on the number rolled on the die and are obliged to make this movement if possible. Otherwise, their turn is forfeited.
When a player rolls a 6, they have the option to advance an existing token or introduce a new token onto the board. Rolling a 6 also grants an extra roll as a bonus. Repeatedly rolling a 6 leads to additional bonus rolls but culminates in passing the turn if a third consecutive 6 appears.
If a player lands on a square occupied by an opponent's token, that token is returned to its owner's yard and can only be reintroduced by rolling another 6. Unlike other similar games, there are no secure squares along the track safeguarding tokens from being returned, except for the player's home column squares which opponents cannot enter.
